Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026
1. Who We Are and What These Terms Are
Coztech Solutions LLC ("Coztech," "we," "us," "our") is a Michigan limited liability company based in West Bloomfield, Michigan. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between us and you when you use this website, call us, or ask us to do work for you.
We have written them in plain English on purpose. If something here does not make sense, ask us and we will explain it. That is not a trick — we would rather you understood exactly what you are agreeing to.
By using this site or asking us to do work, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, that is okay — just do not use the site or our services.
2. What We Do
We are a small local company. We come to you — remotely or in your home — and we handle the technology that stops working the way it should:
- Computers and phones: tune-ups, virus and malware removal, backup and data transfer
- Wi-Fi and networks: setup, dead-zone fixes, printers and smart devices back online
- TV mounting, audio and video setup, and the wiring that goes with it
- Smart home installation and automation
- Remote help from wherever you are, including our SOS service
- Coztech Care — a monthly plan for ongoing remote support and priority help
Two of these come with a flat price, so you know the number before we start: the Home Tech Reset (an in-home visit) and the Scam-Proof Checkup (remote or in-home). Anything outside those offers is quoted first, and you agree to it before we touch anything.
3. What It Costs and How You Pay
- The price we quote you is the price you pay. We do not bill by surprise. If the job turns out to need something we did not quote, we stop and ask you first.
- Extra time and extra work: quoted and agreed with you before we do it — by message, by email, or on the spot — never added to the bill afterwards.
- How to pay: Zelle® is our preferred method, and it is how most clients pay. We also accept card payments and ACH bank transfers. Payment is due when the work is finished, or on invoice terms (Net 14) for larger commercial jobs.
- Travel: there is no charge inside our usual service area (West Bloomfield, Clarkston, and the rest of Oakland County). If you are outside it, we will tell you what the trip costs before we book it.
- Coztech Care: a monthly plan, month to month. It renews each month until you tell us to stop, and stopping is free — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
We never keep your card number or your bank account number, and we never ask you to send a password to anyone — including us. Card and ACH payments are handled by our third-party payment processor, so those details go to them and not to us.
4. Booking, Cancelling, and No-Shows
- We agree an arrival window with you and message you when we are on the way
- Cancelling or moving your appointment is free with at least 24 hours' notice
- If you cancel with less notice, or we arrive and cannot reach you, we may charge a fee covering the trip and the time we held for you — we will always tell you the amount before we apply it
- If we have to move your appointment — weather, illness, a family emergency — there is never a charge to you, and we will offer you the next slot that works
The full details, including how we handle genuine emergencies, are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Refunds and Cancellations
The short version: if we cannot fix what you hired us for, you do not pay us for the labour. If the same problem comes back within 30 days of a job we did, call us and we will come back and look at it again at no charge.
The longer version — including how to ask for a refund, how long it takes, and what happens with parts and special orders — is on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page. Nothing in these Terms takes away a right you have under Michigan or federal law.
6. Remote Support and Your Consent
When we help you remotely, you start the session and you stay in charge of it. We cannot connect without the one-time session code you give us.
- You can end the session at any moment by closing it on your screen
- We look only at what is needed to fix the problem you reported
- Sessions may be recorded for quality, training, and to verify billing — nothing else
- Recordings are deleted after 90 days
- We will not set up unattended access to your computer unless you ask for it and we agree to it in writing first
7. What We Promise, and What We Cannot Promise
- Our work: we stand behind our labour for 30 days on the specific problem we worked on. If it comes back in that window, call us — the follow-up is free
- Parts: they carry the manufacturer's warranty. We pass it through, handle the claim for you, and reinstall the part at no charge for our labour
- What we cannot promise: no honest technician can guarantee that data can be recovered from a failing drive, that a virus is completely gone, or that a twelve-year-old computer will feel new. We will tell you the truth about it up front, even when it is not what you hoped to hear
- What is not covered: problems that were already there before we arrived, damage caused by someone else after we left, and anything outside our control — a power surge, a lightning strike, the internet going down
- Our responsibility to you is limited to what you paid for that job. We are not responsible for indirect losses — for example, a business losing income because a computer was down. Where the law says we cannot limit our responsibility, these Terms do not limit it either
8. What We Ask of You
- You have the right to let us work on the device, account, or network you are asking us to help with. If it belongs to your employer or your landlord, please make sure you have permission first
- Back up anything you cannot afford to lose before we start. We will help you do it, and we will never wipe or delete anything without telling you — but the safest copy is the one you keep
- Tell us what is actually happening, in your own words. Nothing you say will sound silly to us, and the more we know, the faster we can fix it
9. Phone Calls, Text Messages, and Email
When you give us your phone number or email address, you are asking us to contact you about your service — to confirm appointments, send invoices, follow up on work we have done, and, if you signed up, to send the newsletter.
- We do not sell your number or your email address, and we do not text you marketing you did not ask for
- You can stop the newsletter with one click, or by telling us
- You can ask us to stop calling or texting you at any time — just say so
- If your phone plan charges for messages and data, those charges are yours
10. Your Privacy
Your information is handled the way we would want ours handled. That is spelled out in full in our Privacy Policy. In short: we do not sell your personal information, we do not run advertising trackers, we keep as little as we can, and we never ask you for a password.
11. The Content on This Site
The text, photos, logo, and code on this site belong to Coztech Solutions LLC, or to the people who licensed them to us. Please do not copy, republish, or pass them off as your own without asking us in writing first. If you want to share a link to one of our guides — please do, and thank you.
12. If a Claim Comes Up
You agree to cover us against claims that come out of your use of our services or this site — for example, if you ask us to work on a device or network you did not have permission to change. This is not us dodging responsibility for our own work; Section 7 is where that lives.
13. Which Law Applies, and How We Settle Disagreements
- Michigan law governs these Terms
- If something goes wrong, call or email us first. Most things are solved in one phone call, and we would rather fix it than argue about it
- If we cannot sort it out between us, the courts of Oakland County, Michigan (or the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan) are where it would be heard. Either of us can also use small claims court when the amount qualifies
- If one of us has to go to court to enforce these Terms, the party that loses may be asked to pay the other's reasonable attorney fees and costs
14. Changes to These Terms
If we update these Terms, we will post the new version here with a new date. If the change matters — for example, it affects what you pay or your rights — we will also tell our active clients directly. Continuing to use the site or our services after we post an update means you accept the new version.
15. Contact Us
Questions about these Terms? We are a small business, so when you call or write, you get a real answer from the person who wrote them.
